The Basics of How a Standard Phone Jammer Works

Every gadget and technological device works in conformity with certain principles and processes that have been designed into it by manufacturers. Without these basic processes and technological systems, it will be impossible for any single device to work and function as expected by those who will be using it. Knowing the basic concepts and processes behind the function of devices will enable us to fully maximize the utility of such devices. It will also enable us to perform our own troubleshooting in case we feel that the promised performance is not attained during the use of it. The same things apply to a phone jammer. Once you know all the aspects of its functionality that will be the only time you will be able to fully appreciate its purposes. So how does a phone jammer work?

Basically, the main concept behind a jamming device is the emission of a signal or frequency that will disrupt the normal flow of communications between receivers and transmitters. Cell phones and other hand held communications gadget work by receiving and transmitting signals to and from communication centers that are called cell sites. A cell that is referred to in mobile communications is that location in which the transmitted signals of a tower cover. These may generally be referred to as blocks in maps so the term “cell “ is most appropriate for these areas.

Within a particular cell, the signals are exchanged between mobile phones and transmitters. All communications are based on this process of give and take between the two components of the mobile phone service. This is where the jamming process can take effect. The jamming device will release signal which has a frequency that is similar to those that are emitted by cell phones or the transmitter itself. This will result in the cancellation of the signals that come from the transmitter or the phone itself. Blackouts in the communications signals are therefore experienced as long as the device is left open.
